Edinburgh is a great city for coffee lovers. From big chain favourites to quirky artisan coffeehouses, wander down pretty much any street and you’ll be sure to come across a great spot to grab an espresso on the go or sit in an enjoy a cosy, warming latte.

5. Salt Cafe
Salt Cafe in Morningside which opened during the first Covid lockdown, has become a go-to brunch spot in Edinburgh and has even scooped the Best Cafe Award from the Evening News in 2022. 6. Wellington Coffee
Wellington Coffee is a basement cafe on the corner of George Street and Hanover Street. It's the perfect spot for a coffee on the go. If you want to sit in the quaint spot is perfect to enjoy a caffeine hit. One reviewer said 'This is a lovely little cafe in the busy George St in Edinburgh. 7. Disposition Coffee

8. Kilimanjaro Coffee
Kilimanjaro Coffee was picked as a top coffee spot by Edinburgh Evening News readers. The Newington cafe is a relaxed hangout for coffee lovers. One said 'Lovely coffee, very yummy sandwiches and scones. Very friendly staff. A lovely coffee shop deserving lots of customers.' Photo: Google
