Edinburgh woman's cat reported missing six days ago found trapped inside a locked car

Caron Cook’s Buddy, a grey cat with green eyes, went missing from her home in the Gorgie area of the city on Tuesday.
The four-year-old puss was located on Sunday, 4 October, but stuck inside a locked blue Audi parked on Shandon Place.

Hide AdThe Edinburgh resident has sent out a plea on social media urging the public to help her find the vehicle’s owner in order to rescue Buddy.
"I don’t know how long he’s been in there,” she said.
"Thankfully my neighbour walked past the car and saw him in there at about 1pm today.”
Caron said she is 100 per cent sure the trapped cat is Buddy and has contacted police to help her track down the car owner.
When asked about how she thinks Buddy might have got himself into such circumstances she said, “he’s just very nosey.”

Hide AdA police spokeswoman said: “We received a report of a cat locked in a car on Shandon Place in Edinburgh around 2.15pm on Sunday, 4 October.
“Officers assisted with locating the owner of the vehicle in order to let the cat out the vehicle.”
