A 47-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an incident in Wester Hailes today.

Local residents snapped pictures of 10 police cars in Hailesland Gardens following reports of concern for a person at about 8:30am.

A police spokeswoman said: "Officers responded to reports of a concern for person in Hailesland Gardens, Edinburgh around 8.30am on Monday, 30 December, 2019.

"A 47-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a disturbance at the address. Enquiries into the incident are ongoing."

Police were unable to provide any more specific details on the nature of the incident.
