A man has been rushed to hospital after reports of a stabbing in an East Lothian town

Police descended on Redburn Road in Prestonpans on Tuesday evening (November 22) after reports of a stabbing. A 33-year-old man was found injured and taken to hospital for treatment, police said, and an investigation has been launched.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.25pm on Tuesday, 22 November, 2022, we were made aware of a man injured on Redburn Road, Prestonpans. A 33-year-old man was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.” No further information is available at this time.
