Drugs, cash and mobiles seized in Whitburn raids

Mobile phones, drugs and £2,000 of cash have been seized by police in a number of early morning raids in West Lothian.

Council workers and police officers have been tackling crime in Whitburn as part of Operation Pinpoint.

Yesterday dealer quantities of heroin worth nearly £300 were recovered along with 160g of amphetamine worth £1,600 at properties in the area.

In addition, £2,000 in cash was seized along with a number of mobile phones, drug paraphernalia and equipment used in the cultivation of cannabis.

Two men aged 43 and 51 have been charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

A 30-year-old man was also arrested on an outstanding warrant.
