*Lost Edinburgh: The Scotsman Buildings ‘Then and Now’
Then: The Scotsman buildings in 1905, not long after completion. They were built at a time when the North Bridge was in the process of being rebuilt and widened, which subsequently led to a lot of new buildings springing up including a brand new home for The Scotsman Publications.

Now: Thankfully, in 2012 we see very few changes, apart from the building’s purpose which is no longer home to the Scotsman Publications. In 2001, we relocated to our current day premises at Barclay House, Holyrood. The original offices have since been converted into a luxury hotel that has retained the ‘Scotsman’ name.
