Old Corstorphine shop given new lease of life as cafe
A SHOP in Corstorphine that tenants once barricaded themselves into is to be given a new lease of life as a cafe and chocolate shop.
A planning application has been lodged on behalf of retailer Bon to turn the unit at 279a St John’s Road into a shop with cafe and a chocolate production area.
In 2006, the shop was occupied by Roderick Macdonald, 49, and son Daniel, 20, who locked themselves inside following a dispute with landlady Mercy Devine.

Bon would sell hand-made chocolates and cold food to take away, as well as teas and coffees.
