Rapist case team praised
POLICE officers who snared a rapist attempting to use human rights laws to escape a life sentence have been honoured for their efforts.
Chan Wright, 40, is still awaiting sentencing for a series of sex attacks against women across Scotland – including in Edinburgh and West Lothian – following a High Court trial last year.
A seven-strong team from Tayside Police was recognised for “a high-quality investigation and the commitment of the officers which led to the conviction”.
