Hearts Under-20s booked a semi-final spot in the SFA Youth Cup with a 5-0 win over Queen of the South at Stenhousemuir.

The Tynecastle youngsters now meet Dundee United at home in the last four with a venue and date still to be decided.

Robbie Buchanan headed home a Liam Smith right wing cross on ten minutes to give Hearts the lead. Three minutes later, Callumn Morrison added a second with a left-foot shot from just inside the box. On 18 minutes, Angus Beith added a third from the penalty spot after Dario Zanatta was toppled in the box. A fourth goal arrived on 37 minutes, Zanatta rolling home a loose ball after Queens goalkeeper Jack Leighfield and central defender Ayrton Sonkur had collided. earts added a fifth goal on 82 minutes, Buchanan latching on to a Liam Smith through ball and steering a close-range shot past Queens’ substitute goalkeeper Danny Armstrong.
