Hearts announce July friendly with English League Two side

Hearts will play Tranmere Rovers in a pre-season friendly, the club have announced.

The Tynecastle side will travel to face the League Two outfit at Prenton Park on Wednesday, July 13 with a 7.30pm kick-off.

It is the fourth friendly to be announced as Robbie Neilson’s men will also face Europa FC of Gibraltar on June 24 during their training camp in Spain before returing to Scotland to play East Fife at Bayview on July 5.

A week after the match with Tranmere they’ll return down south again to meet Preston North End at Deepdale. A pair of friendlies have also been organised on July 6 for two Hearts XIs to play Spartans and Vale of Leithen, both with a 7.45pm kick-off.

Robbie Neilson’s side are gearing up for the start of the cinch Premiership season after finding out the campaign will begin with a home match against Ross County following the release of the top-flight fixtures by the SPFL.
