Scottish Premiership final finish: Where Hearts, Hibs, Rangers and Celtic are tipped to end up

The current Premiership champions could be in for a close battle if they hope to lift the trophy for a 54th time

Following the weekend's action, Hearts and Hibs now sit fourth and fifth respectively in the Scottish Premiership. It was arguably not an outing of thrills for Hearts as they beat St Johnstone 1-0 but Steven Naismith's side secured the all important three points and they are now just two points behind St Mirren in the league.

Meanwhile, Nick Montgomery's squad battled through to take away a vital three points against Dundee. Hibs won 2-1, surviving a red card in the 63rd minute, to bring home the victory and jump up the league. It will undoubtedly be a hard battle for both Edinburgh clubs to finish in the top six ahead of Phase Two of the league but the odds are well in their favour.
