Star make it a repeat of Forklift final
Star had all the pressure but had to wait until the 80th minute for the breakthrough when full back Michael Deland played a one-two with Paul Tansey before smashing home the only goal.
Manager Alan Miller was delighted with the result, saying: “What a night that was. A cracking game of football played at a terrific tempo.

“We changed the set up to a 4-3-3 to counter Sauchie playing three at the back and it worked. Michael’s goal was his first one for the club and being a 21-year-old is proving a great signing.”
The final is set to be played at Broxburn’s Albyn Park but Miller is clearly not a fan of the artificial turf.
He said: “Now it’s Linlithgow in the final and I hope not on a plastic pitch. I think it’s nonsense to play a cup final on a plastic pitch as was proved last season. It’s a lottery.”
