West Lothian gears up for staging second Pride march
Organisers say after the success of last year’s first West Lothian Pride march, this year’s event will be bigger and better.
The marchers will assemble at West Lothian College car park on Saturday at 2pm, for an extended walk through central Livingston, finishing at West Lothian Civic Centre for a special ceremony.

There will also be speeches from Provost Tom Kerr and West Lothian Council’s deputy chief executive Elaine Cook, as well as members of the Glitter Cannons Youth Group.
After the ceremony, a live music event will take place at Livingston’s Howden Park Centre, which will also include face-painting and information stalls from a wide variety of LGBT voluntary organisations and charities including LGBT Youth Scotland.
Provost Tom Kerr, who is set to speak at the event said: “We hope for local residents to come together to join in the celebrations of West Lothian’s Annual Pride March and show their support for our LGBT community.
“Last year, at our first ever Pride event, we had in excess of 450 vibrant attendees and this year we hope for an even bigger buzz.”
